Making Your Bunnies

Mix Your Ingredients:
Stir yogurt and flour together until smooth. Add more flour bit by bit until you can work with it but it's still soft.
Create Bunny Shapes:
Cut dough into 6 pieces. Make each into a body with two ears. Roll little bits into pointed sticks for the ears.
Put Them Together:
Lay them on a buttered baking sheet with gaps between. Stick the ears on at angles and push down firmly. Shape them like sleeping bunnies.

Yield: 6 Servings (6 rolls)

Dietary: Vegetarian

Ingredients

→ Dough

01 1/4 teaspoon of salt
02 1 cup of yogurt (plain, about 270g)
03 A cup of self-rising flour (150g)
04 Some butter to grease your pan

→ Optional Add-Ons

05 Brush-on melted butter to finish
06 Fun edible markers if you’re decorating

Instructions

Step 01

Preheat your oven to 180°C (or 360°F). Mix together the salt, yogurt, and self-rising flour in a bowl until you have a nice dough. If it's sticking to your hands, toss in another spoonful of flour.

Step 02

Divide the dough into 6 even parts (about 70g each). Roll a bigger ball (45g) for the face from each piece. Make two smaller ear shapes (about 12g apiece), rolling them into stubby sausages.

Step 03

Butter a big oven-safe pan generously. Put the 6 big balls down on the dish, spaced apart to act as faces. Attach the smaller pieces next to each face for ears.

Step 04

Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter if you'd like. Let them bake for about 20 minutes. Serve warm, and draw faces with edible markers if that’s your thing!

Notes

  1. Replace self-rising flour with plain and 1 tsp of baking powder if needed.
  2. Store dough in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze it for around 4 months.
  3. Tastes great fresh but heats up well in the microwave (10 seconds on day two).
