Teriyaki Zucchini Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Veggies

01 - 1 medium sweet onion, roughly diced
02 - 3 average-sized zucchini

→ Sauce Mix

03 - 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
04 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
05 - 2 tablespoons cooking oil

→ Spices

06 - 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (toasted)
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
08 - 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed chili flakes, adjust how spicy you like it

→ Extras (Optional)

09 - 1 tablespoon butter to make it richer

# Instructions:

01 - Cut each zucchini into 2-inch sections, then split those into 6 wedges. This will make bite-sized pieces that soak up all the tasty sauces.
02 - Heat your cooking oil in a big nonstick pan on medium-high until it glimmers. This sets the stage for your stir-fry.
03 - Toss the zucchini and onion into your heated skillet, let them crackle and cook until they just start to soften, about 2 minutes.
04 - Mix in the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, chili flakes, and black pepper. Watch as it caramelizes and turns into a shiny coating for the vegetables.
05 - Keep stirring now and then for another 4-5 minutes. Cook until the zucchini is as soft or crisp as you'd like.
06 - Turn off the heat, sprinkle sesame seeds on top, and stir in a little butter if you're feeling it. It'll add a lovely nutty crunch and more glossy richness.

# Notes:

01 - Goes great with grilled chicken, fish, or fluffy steamed rice.
02 - Want a heartier dish? Toss in tofu, shrimp, or chicken while cooking.
