Turtle Bars Caramel (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 0.67 cup butter for the turtle part.
02 - 1.5 cups of everyday flour.
03 - 1 cup of brown sugar for the crust layer.
04 - 0.5 cup of softened butter to make the crust.
05 - 0.5 cup brown sugar to sweeten the turtle layer.
06 - 1 cup of chocolate chips for topping.
07 - 1 cup of pecan halves for added crunch.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up.
02 - Combine flour, softened butter, and brown sugar. Press this mixture into an ungreased 13x9 pan.
03 - In a small saucepan, cook butter with brown sugar while stirring. Once it starts bubbling, keep it going for another 30-60 seconds to get thicker.
04 - Lay out the pecans on top of the crust and pour the caramel sauce evenly over them.
05 - Pop it in the oven for 18-20 minutes or until the caramel bubbles and the edges take on a golden color.
06 - Scatter chocolate chips on the hot caramel layer. Wait a couple of minutes for them to soften, then spread them around.
07 - Let the whole thing cool completely for 30 minutes. Slice into 48 bars, making sure to clean the knife for tidy cuts.

# Notes:

01 - Skip greasing the pan.
02 - Wait until it's fully cooled before slicing.
03 - Wipe the knife after each cut to keep the edges clean.
