Spicy Sticky Chicken Wings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Seasonings

01 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
02 - ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
03 - 2 pounds of chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats
04 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Sticky Sweet-Spicy Sauce

06 - ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra kick)
07 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
08 - ¼ cup hot sauce you like best
09 - ¼ cup pure honey
10 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
11 - ¼ cup brown sugar

→ Toppings

12 - Chopped fresh cilantro
13 - Toasted sesame seeds
14 - Thinly sliced green onions

# Instructions:

01 - Pat the wings super dry using paper towels to make sure there’s no water left behind (dry skin is key for crispy results). Drop them into a big bowl, then coat evenly with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
02 - Got two great ways to cook here! Fried? Fill a pot with oil, heat to 375°F, and fry them batch by batch for about 8-10 minutes until golden and crunchy. Baked? Put the wings on a wire rack set on a foil-lined baking sheet, cook at 400°F for 40-45 minutes, and turn halfway through. Either way, you’ll get that amazing crispy texture!
03 - While the wings cook, mix honey, brown sugar, hot sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and cayenne (if heat is your thing) in a little pot. Warm it on medium heat, stirring here and there, and let it bubble and thicken for around 3-5 minutes.
04 - Take your crispy wings and toss them with the sticky sauce until they're covered nicely. Sprinkle on green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro if you like, then serve hot.

# Notes:

01 - Getting the wings super dry is the secret to crispy skin.
02 - You can make the sauce ahead and warm it up when you need it.
03 - Raise or lower the heat by tweaking the cayenne and hot sauce amounts.
