Spicy Salmon Fish Tacos (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Spice Blend

01 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
02 - 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
03 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
04 - 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
05 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
07 - 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

→ Main Ingredients

08 - 4 tortillas (fajita size)
09 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
10 - 10 ounces fresh salmon
11 - 2 cups coleslaw mix (shredded)
12 - 1 cup diced cherry tomatoes
13 - 1/2 cup crumbled feta

→ Spicy Sauce

14 - 1/4 cup mayo
15 - 1 teaspoon lime juice (freshly squeezed)
16 - 1 tablespoon your favorite hot sauce
17 - Pinch of salt for flavor

# Instructions:

01 - Combine all spice mix ingredients in a small bowl. Spread over the salmon (both sides if it’s skinless). Add a drizzle of olive oil and leave it at room temp for 10 minutes.
02 - In a non-stick pan, heat some oil over medium heat. Sear the salmon with the flesh side down for 3 minutes. Flip it and cook for another 2-3 minutes, depending on how you like it done.
03 - Let the cooked salmon cool for about 4-5 minutes, then break it into small flaky pieces.
04 - Mix mayo, hot sauce, and lime juice in a bowl. Add a little salt till the taste feels right.
05 - Heat up the tortillas. Fill them with shredded salmon, coleslaw, feta, cherry tomatoes, and top with the spicy mayo.

# Notes:

01 - Fajita tortillas are usually between 4.5 and 6.5 inches wide.
02 - If you don’t have coleslaw mix, shredded cabbage or leafy greens work great.
03 - Try extra toppings like pickled onions, sliced avocado, cilantro, chopped green onions, or jalapeños.
