In a big skillet, cook the sausage on medium heat until it browns and there's no pink left. Drain off the extra grease with a paper towel.

Put the sausage back in the skillet, sprinkle in the flour, and mix so it's fully coated.

Pour the milk in little by little as you keep stirring over medium heat. It should thicken up to your liking.

Sprinkle in salt, pepper, and any cayenne or red pepper flakes you'd enjoy for taste.
