Cinnamon Sugar Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg.
02 - 2 cups (250g) plain flour.
03 - 1/2 cup (100g) sugar for the outer coating.
04 - 1 1/2 cups (300g) white sugar.
05 - 1/4 cup (57g) melted unsalted butter (for coating).
06 - 1 large egg, room temp.
07 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder.
08 - 2 teaspoons baking powder.
09 - 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter.
10 - 1 1/4 cups (306g) full-fat milk.
11 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt.
12 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly spray an 8.5x4.5-inch loaf pan.
02 - In a big bowl, mix together the flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
03 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
04 - Pour the wet stuff into the dry stuff and stir just until it’s mixed—don’t overdo it!
05 - Transfer the batter to the pan and bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick poked in the center mostly comes out clean.
06 - Let it cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan. Brush it with melted butter and roll it in the spiced sugar.

# Notes:

01 - Stir the batter gently. Overdoing it ruins the texture.
02 - Add the coating while it’s still warm.
03 - You can save leftover sugar for another time.
