Beef Pinwheels (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pack of puff pastry, about 2 sheets.
02 - 1 container of French onion dip and more for dipping later.
03 - 1 yellow onion.
04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
05 - 2 tablespoons butter.
06 - 1/2 pound thinly sliced roast beef.
07 - 1/2 pound provolone cheese, sliced.
08 - 1 egg.
09 - 3 tablespoons water to make the egg wash.
10 - Chopped parsley to sprinkle on top.

# Instructions:

01 - Let puff pastry sit out for 40 minutes to thaw. Set your oven to 375°F so it's nice and hot.
02 - Heat olive oil in a pan, cook onions till soft, then toss in butter and keep cooking for another 5 minutes until they turn golden brown.
03 - Spread French onion dip on the pastry. Top it with onions, roast beef, and provolone slices. Roll it up and seal the edge with a little egg wash.
04 - Slice the roll into pieces about 1/2 to 1 inch thick. Lay them on baking sheets lined with parchment. Use the egg wash to coat the tops and bake for 15 to 20 minutes till they're golden brown.

# Notes:

01 - Both homemade or store-bought puff pastry will work well.
02 - They're tastiest while still warm from the oven.
