Microwave chocolate in bursts of 30 seconds, stirring until smooth. Or melt slowly over steam using a double boiler.

Pour the melted chocolate over your cereal, stirring to coat every piece evenly. Transfer half to the zippered bag and shake with powdered sugar until coated well.

Mix pretzels into the cereal that’s still in the bowl. Spread it out on the lined baking sheet. Scatter M&Ms and sprinkles, then lay the sugar-coated cereal over everything.

Wait around 20 minutes for the mix to cool and harden. Separate any big clusters before bringing it to the table.
