Grind cookies into fine crumbs with a processor or by crushing with a pin. Stir with melted butter, press into a 9-inch pie dish, and pop it into the fridge to set.

Whisk cream cheese with powdered sugar until there are no more lumps. Add drops of red dye until the color looks right.

Gently stir in one tub of Cool Whip and 1/2 cup of crushed peppermint candies.

Spoon the creamy filling over the crust. Spread with the last tub of Cool Whip and sprinkle the rest of the candies on top.

Stick the pie in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour before digging in.
