Crockpot Ziti Easy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 jar (650ml) of pasta sauce (about 2 1/2 cups).
02 - 375 grams of penne or ziti pasta.
03 - 1 cup and a half of chicken broth (low sodium).
04 - 28-ounce can of diced tomatoes.
05 - 1 pound of ground beef.
06 - 1 teaspoon each of dried basil and parsley.
07 - 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt.
08 - 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
09 - A finely chopped onion.
10 - 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, shredded.

# Instructions:

01 - Brown the ground beef and onion together until they're caramelized. Toss in the garlic and seasonings, then cook for another minute.
02 - Transfer the cooked mixture to a 4-quart slow cooker (or bigger). Add in the broth, canned tomatoes, and jarred sauce. Give everything a stir.
03 - On low, cook things for 6 hours, or if you're in a hurry, 3 hours on high works too.
04 - Once it's on high, throw in the dry pasta and mix it up. Let it cook for another 15-30 minutes.
05 - Sprinkle the mozzarella on top, cover, and allow 3-5 minutes for the cheese to melt.

# Notes:

01 - Skip browning the meat if you're short on time.
02 - Feel free to swap ground beef with any meat you like.
03 - The sauce cooks the pasta directly—no extra pot needed!
04 - Start checking the pasta around 15 minutes to see if it's done.
