Crispy Green Beans (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Ends trimmed from green beans (about 500g or 1 lb).
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided.
03 - Two garlic cloves, chopped finely.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper.
06 - 1/3 cup of panko-style breadcrumbs.
07 - 1/3 cup of shredded parmesan cheese.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C), or turn the broiler to high and set rack 12 inches (30cm) away from heat.
02 - Spread beans on the baking tray, pour on 1 tablespoon of oil, add garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well.
03 - Arrange beans in rows close together on the tray.
04 - Sprinkle the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese evenly over the beans. Drizzle on the rest of the oil.
05 - Broil for 8 minutes or roast for 15 minutes until the cheese starts turning golden.
06 - Use a spatula to move everything to a serving plate, then enjoy right away.

# Notes:

01 - Pre-grated parmesan works fine, but if you're grating it fresh, double the amount.
02 - Frozen beans can be used if they've been thawed and dried completely.
03 - Serve immediately for the best crisp texture.
