Creamy Garlic Pizza (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Creamy Garlic Sauce

01 - ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, freshly cracked
02 - ¼ teaspoon salt from the sea
03 - ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated at home
04 - 3 teaspoons of garlic, jarred or finely minced cloves (3 cloves)
05 - 1¼ cups full-fat milk
06 - 2 tablespoons of plain flour
07 - 2 tablespoons butter, unsalted

→ Putting the Pizza Together

08 - ½ teaspoon of classic Italian seasoning
09 - 1 teaspoon olive oil, for brushing
10 - 2 tablespoons fresh basil, cut into thin strips
11 - ¼ cup Parmesan, grated finely
12 - ½ cup of your homemade garlic-Parmesan sauce
13 - 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, grated fresh
14 - 1 pre-made or homemade pizza base

# Instructions:

01 - In a small saucepan over medium flame, let your butter completely liquefy and begin to sizzle.
02 - Add all-purpose flour to the butter and whisk for 2 minutes. Make sure to keep stirring so the mixture cooks, forming a paste, but doesn’t turn brown.
03 - Slowly pour in the milk bit by bit, whisking without stopping. It’ll gradually thicken and bubble as you keep mixing for around 3-5 minutes.
04 - Stir in your garlic, cracked pepper, and salt, making sure it’s all well combined and smooth.
05 - Take your Parmesan cheese and stir it into the bubbly sauce until it melts smoothly. Let the sauce sit off the heat to cool slightly.
06 - Preheat your oven super hot—450°F (232°C). Spread out your pizza dough, brush on some olive oil, and sprinkle with a dash of Italian herbs.
07 - Generously coat your crust with the garlic sauce, then spread the mozzarella and Parmesan evenly for the perfect cheesy finishing touch.
08 - Slide that pizza into your piping-hot oven and bake it between 10 and 12 minutes, or until the cheese bubbles and gets golden-brown spots.
09 - Pull the pizza out, sprinkle the basil ribbons over the top, and serve up right away while it’s still steamy.

01 - Whip up the sauce ahead of time—it lasts up to 5 days in the fridge.
02 - Cranking up the oven to a really high temp is the key to a perfect crispy pizza base.
