Festive Pastry Trees (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Two puff pastry sheets, gluten-free or regular.
02 - A quarter cup of melted butter, unsalted.
03 - 1/4 cup of white sugar.
04 - One teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
05 - Some powdered sugar for sprinkling.
06 - Eight skewers.
07 - 8 Rolo candies (optional treat).

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F to preheat. Grab a baking pan and cover it with parchment paper. Mix the cinnamon with the sugar in a little bowl.
02 - Lay one pastry sheet on the parchment, coat it with half of the melted butter, and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar on top. Place the second sheet right over it.
03 - Using a pizza cutter, slice into 1-inch wide strips. Fold each strip into an accordion shape, then carefully stick a wooden skewer through each folded strip.
04 - Brush the folded pastry with the rest of the butter. Pop them in the freezer for 10 minutes to help firm them up before baking.
05 - Bake for 15-20 minutes, just until they puff up and turn lightly golden. Sprinkle powdered sugar over them, and if you like, place a Rolo at the bottom of each skewer.

# Notes:

01 - Puff pastry should be at room temperature before starting.
02 - Best enjoyed within the same day of making.
03 - You can make the skewers shorter by trimming them.
