Cheese Bacon Egg Toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Morning Essentials

01 - 4 fresh eggs, large
02 - 2 tablespoons milk, to make the eggs soft and fluffy
03 - 6 crispy bacon strips, cooked to perfection

→ Toasted Layers

04 - 8 slices of cheddar cheese (or about 1 1/2 cups shredded)
05 - 4 sturdy slices of thick-cut sourdough bread
06 - 4 tablespoons butter, soft enough to spread easily

→ Flavor Boosters

07 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

# Instructions:

01 - Fry the bacon strips to your preferred crunchiness. Once done, set them aside on paper towels to soak up extra grease.
02 - Whisk eggs, milk, and pepper until smooth. Stir them gently over low heat in the bacon fat for soft, fluffy results.
03 - Take two slices of bread and stack with cheese, scrambled eggs, and crispy bacon. Place another cheese-covered slice on top to complete.
04 - Spread softened butter generously on the outside of each sandwich. Warm up a clean skillet over medium heat to prepare for grilling.
05 - Lay the sandwiches butter-side down in the hot skillet. Press lightly with a spatula and cook 3-4 minutes. Flip carefully, butter the other side, and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
06 - Let the sandwiches cool slightly before cutting them in half. Serve right away with sauces like spicy mayo, ketchup, or maple syrup.

# Notes:

01 - Go for sourdough that’s thick to keep everything together and add a nice crunch.
02 - Turn the heat down if your bread’s browning too fast—it gives the cheese more time to melt.
03 - Whole grain, rye, or ciabatta are also great bread options for this sandwich.
