# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups of all-purpose flour (protein content of at least 11%).
02 - 1/2 cup caster sugar or powdered sugar.
03 - 1 cup of softened, salted butter.

# Instructions:

01 - Beat the butter and sugar together until soft and airy for around 1-2 minutes. Slowly add in the flour and stir on low until the mixture comes together as dough.
02 - Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with plastic wrap, and pop it in the fridge for at least an hour.
03 - Roll out the dough to about 1/4-1/2 inch thickness, then use cookie cutters to make shapes. Let them chill while you heat up the oven.
04 - In a 325°F oven, bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges just turn golden. Let them cool completely before enjoying.

02 - Keep at room temperature for up to 7 days or in the fridge for 10 days.
03 - Stash in the freezer for up to a month.
04 - If your dough seems dry, toss in some extra butter.
