Beef Stroganoff (Easy) (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 small onion, chopped up.
02 - 1 pound of ground beef, lean.
03 - 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce.
04 - 12 ounces of mushrooms, cut into slices.
05 - 1 clove of garlic, finely chopped.
06 - 3 tablespoons plain flour.
07 - 3/4 cup of sour cream.
08 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped.
09 - Salt and pepper to your liking.
10 - 2 cups of beef stock.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the beef, garlic, and onion in a pan until it's browned. Try not to break up the beef too much. Get rid of the grease.
02 - Toss in the mushrooms and cook them for about 2–3 minutes. Sprinkle in the flour and stir it for another minute.
03 - Pour in the beef stock, add Worcestershire sauce, and season it with salt and pepper. Let it boil, then simmer gently for 10 minutes.
04 - Once it's off the heat, mix in the sour cream and parsley. Serve it up over noodles if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - Regular broth has better flavor than low-sodium.
02 - Mix in sour cream after cooking to keep it from separating.
03 - Greek yogurt can work in place of sour cream.
04 - Fresh mushrooms are best, but canned ones can do in a pinch.
